1. Who We Are — Data Controller

The organisation responsible for this website and your data

KeeHelper is a free online tools platform operated by Keeroot Solutions. For the purposes of data protection law, Keeroot Solutions is the data controller — the organisation that determines why and how your personal data is processed.

Data Controller:
Keeroot Solutions
Website: keehelper.com · Parent company: keeroot.com
Privacy enquiries: [email protected]

KeeHelper launched on 1 April 2026. This privacy policy covers all pages, tools, and features available at keehelper.com and any subdomains operated by Keeroot Solutions. It does not cover third-party websites that may be linked from our platform.

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle data, you can reach our team directly at [email protected]. We read every message personally.

2. Our Core Principle: Privacy by Design

How KeeHelper was architected to minimise data collection from the ground up

KeeHelper was designed from its very first line of code with privacy as a constraint, not an afterthought. This is what "Privacy by Design" means in practice for our platform:

🔒 The fundamental rule: Every calculation on KeeHelper — whether you're working out your BMI, your retirement savings, your screen time score, or your happiness index — runs entirely inside your web browser. The numbers you enter into any KeeHelper tool are processed locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers, stored in any database, or visible to any person at Keeroot Solutions.
1
You enter data into a KeeHelper tool
You type numbers, select options, or input dates into any calculator or tool on KeeHelper.
📍 Data stays: On your device (RAM / browser memory)
2
Your browser runs the calculation
The JavaScript code that powers each tool executes locally in your browser tab. No outbound network request is made to our servers with your inputs.
📍 Data stays: In your browser's JavaScript engine
3
Your result is displayed to you
The result appears on your screen. It is stored in browser memory only and is discarded when you close or reload the tab.
📍 Data stays: Displayed in your browser — not transmitted anywhere
4
Tab closes — data is gone
When you close the browser tab or window, all input data is cleared. We have no record of what you calculated, when, or what result you received.
📍 Data destiny: Deleted from memory permanently

This is not a claim we make lightly — it is verifiable. Every KeeHelper tool is a single HTML file with embedded JavaScript. You can use your browser's developer tools (F12 → Network tab) to confirm that no personal data is transmitted when you use any of our calculators.

4. How We Use the Data We Collect

The specific purposes and legal bases for each type of data processing

We process personal data only where we have a valid legal basis to do so. The following table explains our purposes and the legal basis under GDPR for each type of processing:

Processing ActivityData UsedPurposeLegal Basis (GDPR)
Responding to contact enquiries Name, email, message To understand your enquiry and send you a personal reply Legitimate interest & contract performance
Website analytics Anonymised page views, device type, country To understand tool usage patterns and improve the platform Legitimate interest (anonymised)
Security & spam prevention Server logs, IP (30 days) To detect and prevent malicious requests, DDoS, and spam Legitimate interest
Legal compliance Contact records if required To comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal requests Legal obligation
Product improvement Aggregate usage statistics only To identify which tools to build, fix, or improve Legitimate interest
What we never do with your data: We do not sell personal data. We do not use data for advertising or audience targeting. We do not share data with data brokers. We do not use data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects on individuals.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

Exactly which cookies and browser storage we use — and why

A "cookie" is a small text file stored in your browser by a website. "Local storage" is similar but larger. Both are used to retain information between sessions. Here is a complete and honest breakdown of what KeeHelper sets in your browser:

Our cookie policy in one sentence: KeeHelper uses no advertising cookies, no tracking cookies, and no cross-site profiling cookies. We use only technically necessary or basic functional cookies and may load performance/analytics scripts from trusted providers.
How to manage cookies: You can view, block, or delete all cookies through your browser settings. In Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies. In Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data. Blocking analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use any KeeHelper tool — all functionality is preserved.

6. Third-Party Services & Data Processors

Every external service that KeeHelper uses and what data each receives

KeeHelper uses a small number of trusted third-party services to deliver the website. Each service receives only the minimum data necessary for its function. We have assessed each provider for data protection adequacy:

  • 🅰️
    Google Analytics (or privacy-first alternative)
Provides aggregate, anonymised website analytics. If Google Analytics is used, we activate IP anonymisation and disable data sharing for advertising. Alternatively, we may use Plausible Analytics — a GDPR-compliant analytics tool that collects no personal data and stores no cookies.
⚠️ If Google Analytics is in use, Google may transfer data to US servers under EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision.
    Google Privacy Policy
  • 🔤
    Google Fonts API
Serves typeface files (Plus Jakarta Sans, DM Sans, JetBrains Mono) used for KeeHelper's design system. When your browser loads a KeeHelper page, it makes a request to Google's servers to download the font files. Google receives your IP address and User-Agent string for this request.
⚠️ Google states (as of 2022) that Fonts API requests are not associated with Google account profiles and are not used for ad targeting. Consider self-hosting fonts if this concerns you.

  • 📦
    jsDelivr CDN
Serves Bootstrap CSS/JS framework and Bootstrap Icons library. jsDelivr is a free, open-source CDN. When your browser requests Bootstrap files, jsDelivr's servers receive your IP address, browser type, and the filename requested. jsDelivr uses this data for performance monitoring and abuse prevention only.
    jsDelivr Privacy Policy
  • 📧
    Email Provider (contact form delivery)
Contact form submissions are delivered to our team's inbox at [email protected] via our email service provider. The email provider receives your name, email address, and message content in order to deliver the email. The provider acts as a data processor under our instructions.
Your contact data is used only to respond to your enquiry. It is not added to any marketing list.
  • ☁️
    Web Hosting / Infrastructure
KeeHelper's website files are hosted on a cloud server infrastructure. Our hosting provider processes server log data (IP addresses, HTTP requests, timestamps) for the purpose of delivering the website and detecting security incidents. Server logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days and are not used for profiling.
Data Processing Agreements: Where third-party providers act as data processors (handling personal data on our behalf), we have Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) in place as required by GDPR Article 28. These contractually bind processors to appropriate data protection standards.

7. Data Retention — How Long We Keep Your Data

Specific retention periods for every category of data we hold

Data TypeRetention PeriodReason for RetentionDeletion Method
Calculator inputs & results 0 seconds — never stored Processed locally in browser only; no server-side storage exists N/A — not collected
Contact form: name, email, message 2 years from date of submission To allow follow-up if needed and for our legal records in case of disputes Automatic deletion at 2-year mark; or on verified request
Server access logs (IP + request) 30 days from log date Security monitoring, DDoS detection, and server health Automatic rolling deletion after 30 days
Analytics data (anonymised) 26 months (aggregate) Long-term product performance analysis — year-over-year comparison Anonymised data cannot identify individuals; aggregate retention does not constitute personal data retention
Legal correspondence (if applicable) 7 years from creation Legal obligation to retain business records; regulatory compliance Secure deletion at end of legal retention period
Browser local storage (preferences) Until cleared by you Saves your preferred units/settings for a better experience Clear via browser settings (Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data)
Deletion requests: If you've submitted a contact form and would like us to delete your personal data before the 2-year retention period, email [email protected] with the subject "Data Deletion Request." We will confirm deletion within 30 days as required by GDPR.

8. Your Rights — What You Can Ask Us to Do

Your legal rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable data protection laws

Depending on where you live, you have a range of rights regarding your personal data. Because KeeHelper collects very little personal data, most of these rights will only be relevant if you have submitted a contact form. Here are all your rights and how to exercise them:

Response timeframe: We will respond to all data rights requests within 30 calendar days of receipt — in line with GDPR Article 12. Complex requests may be extended by a further 60 days with notice. We will never charge a fee for a first request unless requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive.

9. California Residents — CCPA Rights

Additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and CPRA

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) provides you with additional rights beyond those described above. This section supplements the rest of this privacy policy.

KeeHelper does not sell or share personal information. We do not "sell" personal information as defined by CCPA § 1798.140(ad)(1), and we do not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising purposes. Therefore, there is no opt-out available for "sale" or "sharing" because neither activity occurs.

Categories of personal information collected in the past 12 months:

We have collected the following CCPA-defined categories of personal information from California residents: Identifiers (name, email — via contact form only, voluntarily submitted); Internet or other electronic network activity (anonymised page views, device type — via analytics). We have not collected Sensitive Personal Information as defined by CPRA.

Your CCPA rights include:

  • Right to Know: Request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we've collected about you
  • Right to Delete: Request deletion of personal information we hold about you (subject to exceptions)
  • Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Right to Opt Out of Sale/Sharing: We do not sell or share personal information — this right is not applicable to KeeHelper
  • Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Information: We do not collect or process sensitive personal information as defined by CPRA
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any CCPA right

To exercise CCPA rights, email [email protected] with "CCPA Request" in the subject line. We respond within 45 days as required by CCPA.

10. Children's Privacy — COPPA Compliance

How we protect the privacy of children under 13 (and under 16 in the EU/UK)

KeeHelper is a general-audience platform that does not knowingly target or market to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union and United Kingdom, where GDPR requires parental consent for data processing of those under 16).

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Our contact form includes an age-acknowledgement provision. If you are under 13, please do not submit any personal information through our contact form. Parental or guardian consent is required for any data collection from minors under 13 (US/global) or under 16 (EU/UK).

Many of our tools — including calculators for health, finances, and wellness — can be legitimately used by people of all ages, and children using these tools do so without submitting any personal data (all calculations are browser-only).

If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.

Parents or guardians wishing to review, correct, or delete any information that may have been submitted by a child in their care should contact us at [email protected].

11. International Data Transfers

How we protect your data when it crosses international borders

KeeHelper is accessible worldwide. Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or other regions with data protection adequacy decisions, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

Transfers to the United States: Some of our third-party service providers (including analytics platforms and our hosting infrastructure) may process data on servers located in the United States. Where this occurs, we rely on:

  • The EU-US Data Privacy Framework (where the provider is certified)
  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) — the EU Commission's approved transfer mechanism
  • The UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) for UK → US transfers

Because KeeHelper collects minimal personal data and all calculator inputs are processed locally in your browser, the volume and sensitivity of data involved in any international transfer is very low — limited to server log data (retained 30 days), anonymised analytics, and contact form data processed by third-party email delivery providers.

12. Security Measures

Technical and organisational measures we use to protect your data

We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect personal data against accidental loss, destruction, alteration, unauthorised disclosure, or access. Our measures include:

🔐
HTTPS / TLS Encryption
All data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.2 or higher. HTTP connections are permanently redirected to HTTPS.
🧱
No Server-Side Storage of Calculator Data
The most powerful security measure: we simply never receive calculator inputs. Zero-knowledge architecture by design.
🔑
Access Controls
Access to server infrastructure and email inboxes is restricted to authorised Keeroot Solutions team members with strong authentication.
📋
Security Headers
HTTP security headers (CSP, HSTS, X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options) are configured to prevent common web attacks.
🚨
Breach Notification
In the unlikely event of a personal data breach, we will notify affected individuals and the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours as required by GDPR Article 33.
🔄
Regular Reviews
Security practices are reviewed regularly. Third-party service providers are assessed for security compliance before onboarding.
No system is 100% secure. While we implement industry-standard safeguards, no method of data transmission or storage is perfectly secure. If you become aware of any security vulnerability in KeeHelper, please disclose it responsibly to [email protected].

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

How and when we update this policy, and how we notify you

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, new tools we've launched, updates to applicable law, or improvements in how we communicate our data practices.

Minor changes (for example, clarifying language or updating third-party links) will be reflected in this page without a separate announcement. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect when the policy was last modified.

Material changes — changes that substantively affect how we process your personal data — will be communicated more prominently. If you have previously contacted us, we may notify you by email. We will always provide at least 30 days' notice before a material change takes effect for existing users.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of KeeHelper after any changes constitutes your acknowledgement of the updated policy.
